The Groundwater Project as a source of free books in basic and applied hydrogeology

We usually received some emails and messages regarding basic or reference books and publications in Hydrogeology and we didn't have any reference of free and high quality material until we knew about the Groundwater Project. It´s true that we found the project website some months ago, but it was at the latest IAH conference where we had a presentation with a complete overview of the program.

The Groundwater Project has free and online books that can be accessed by chapters making it more accessible for review. The project now has 9 books in basic hydrogeology and 6 books in applied concepts together with classic books and children books and 5 more books to be published soon. But the project is more than books in english, the project also looks for the book translation in different languages as there are some publications already in portuguese.

Know more about the available book on this link: gw-project.org/books/

Looking at the titles and content of the books, it is possible to develop by oneself a great understanding of the groundwater flow and transport regime and the main topics about the sources and availability.

We believe and share the scope of this project to make available excellent resources in hydrogeology to improve the capacities of hydrogeologists around the world, something needed for a better management of our groundwater resources.
